Variations on Pachelbels Canon is composed by George Winston (born 1949) who is an American pianist and composer, born in Michigan, and grew up mainly in Miles City, Montana, as well as Mississippi and Florida. He attended Stetson University in Deland, Florida, and lives in Santa Cruz, California. ? Actually Variations on Pachelbels Canon is based on Canon in D composed by Pachelbel often known as Pachelbel’s Canon, the canon by the German Baroque composer, Johann Pachelbel, taken from his Canon and Gigue for 3 violins and basso continuo which is his most famous composition. ?
